About Me

My name is Bryan, I live in California where the cost of living is an arm, a leg, and your first born child.

I do many things and pursue many projects and hobbies, some of my favorite happen to be finance, business, historical reenactment, leather crafting, reading, photography, videography, and parkour.

I've been reading a lot about finance for a while now, and have become very good with my money at a very young age. I am debt free, at the end of the year I will graduate with two Associates degrees with academic honors, I have all my bills paid off a year in advance, a couple grand in my tax deferred Roth IRA retirement account, a paid off car, and with my budget I still enjoy a little spending money.

I've never made more than 800$ a month while working part time (and I'm still part time at minimum wage)

At 22, I've already started two businesses, and after leaving the first one to help a group of friends build another, I started my second business dealing in leather crafts. Norseman Crafts is my dream of a mobile income where i can travel with my materials and tools and work out of a vehicle and take advantage of the internet and vending environments to make a living selling hand made leather goods.

What got me into Leather-working as a business was simply that it was cheaper to buy materials and tools as a business, plus i love business anyhow, and I got inspired to take up leather working because I am a historical reenactor. I love wearing armor and performing for crowds the battle tactics of 15th century Scottish Halberdiers or the shield wall of 7th century Vikings.

So being surrounded by others who love the same thing, its easy to make a little bit of extra money making things they'd need or want for their garb without having to resort to mass produced and crappy quality goods.

I am a voracious reader, always have been. My mother read to me since i was a little kid, and i've had my nose in a book ever since, this is a picture of just my "To Read" shelf (working in a used book store has its perks). I love to learn about new things, as well as enjoy a good science fiction or book with philosophical underpinnings.

I also love photography, many of the photos on this page and in the blog in general are/will be taken by me. I love landscapes and candid shots especially.

One of my other favorite hobbies is making Youtube videos, either informative, for entertainment, or simply to record thoughts, I'm sure videos of each type will make their way onto this blog.

And one of my favorite things to do is play! or Parkour as many people call it. I've been "playing" for over 4 years now and run Norcal Parkour in the Sacramento area here in California. We have fun.

Because living in California is so expensive but I'm deeply rooted here, i pursue minimalism and long term I'm looking at living out of a modified camper van to save a lot of money in case i want a house in the future.

I like to live with less, thrive on less, and have only the essential with me. I do not like living like a pack rat.

Well that's enough about me, if you like what you see here, stick around, there's more cool stuff to come!

-Bryan
